About The Club
Maidenhead Lawn Tennis Club is a private club owned by its members and dedicated to the furtherance of the sport of tennis. The club is open to anyone of any age and ability to join, and works closely with the LTA as the LTA Junior Futures Performance Centre in Berkshire.
MLTC is a very popular club with a maximum membership of about 500 adult playing members and 200 junior playing members. Typically, there is a waiting list for new members, and we thank all applicants for their patience when applying for membership.
We have 10 outdoor courts at the main site at 79 All Saints Avenue, Maidenhead, (including a court with minicourt markings). Four courts are artificial clay, three are ‘Poraflex’ (a “soft on the knees” surface) and three courts are macadam. Six courts are floodlit, allowing play up until 10pm throughout the year, at no additional cost to players. There are also two public courts at Oaken Grove Park, just 500 metres to the north of the club at the end of All Saints Ave which are administered by the club.
Please notice that dogs are not allowed on the club site. If you have a special circumstance that requires you to bring a dog when visiting the club, please get in touch with the Administrator or Tournament Organiser.
The courts at Oaken Grove can be hired by non-members upon an online payment of £5 per hour. Courts can be booked and paid for via the ‘Book a Court’ tab on this website. The Oaken Grove courts are locked with a combination padlock, the code to which can be obtained after paying the usage fee.

The Lawn Tennis Association
MLTC maintains a very strong working partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) to further the sport of tennis.
In recognition of the very high quality of coaching for juniors at MLTC, the LTA has appointed MLTC as the LTA Performance Coaching Centre for Berkshire.
The Committee is always looking for new ways to communicate more with members, and to receive feedback and suggestions from members.
Websites and email, as well as printed notices at the club.
A suggestion book is available in the clubhouse.[/su_box]
Each year, Wimbledon tickets are highly prized by tennis fans all over the world. The LTA pre-allocate tickets for members of the public to be able to purchase Wimbledon Tickets, and offer ticket ballots to LTA affiliated tennis clubs for LTA members to enter into draws to win the right to purchase Wimbledon Ticket at normal ticket office prices.
MLTC is affiliated to the LTA, so all members who have registered as British Tennis Members with the LTA and paid their MLTC membership subscription for the current year are able to enter into the ballot. The LTA vary the ballot system rules slightly each year so our Members are encouraged to look at the website/social media and Noticeboards for the latest information.
History of MLTC
MLTC was founded in 1879 in Kidwells Park, Maidenhead, moving to its current location at 79 All Saints Avenue between the first and second world wars where it thrives today- making MLTC one of the very oldest tennis clubs in the world!
